Fluid Mechanics
Fluid Mechanics deals with the Study of Nature of Fluids, i.e Liquids and Gases. The subject starts with describing the Basics of Fluids including its Properties. Following this, Fluid Statics, Kinematics and Dynamics are discussed. All of these topics show the presence of Solid Bodies in these Fluids and how these Fluids will affect them. The subject then goes into detail by describing the two main types of Fluid Flow – Laminar and Turbulent. The subject also gives description about the different analyses done on fluid parameters under the chapter, Dimensional and Model Analysis. Towards the end, the subject describes about the Flow of Fluid occurring through a Pipe, Pipe Arrangements and Losses occurring when Fluid Flows through it.
